Michael Schumacher’s True Medical Condition May Become Public as Doctor’s Laptop Containing Racer’s Record is Stolen

For the second time in nearly two years, the medical records of former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher have been stolen.

Michael Schumacher’s medical condition has been a guarded secret both by his family and his doctors since he suffered a traumatic ski accident at the French Alps in December 2013.

Last week, the office of the racecar driver’s doctor in Bad Nauheim, Germany has been burglarized. Among those that were stolen is the laptop that contains the medical records of Schumacher, reports the UK edition of the International Business Times.

A helicopter rescue worker in Zurich, Switzerland was also arrested last year for allegedly stealing important medical documents concerning Michael Schumacher’s medical conditions in a similar stealing incident.

But the suspect was eventually found hanging inside a jail cell in an obvious suicide to cover up his actions or those that ordered him to do so.

A group of thieves

The latest incident apparently involves a group of thieves as several men broke into the Germany office of Dr. Johannes Peil, who is the physician of Michael Schumacher and his family for so many years already.

Dr. Peil is also part of the team of medical practitioners that is closely monitoring the condition of the former Formula One champion while recuperating at his home in Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

Initial investigation into the burglary places the robbery between February 28 and March 2 and reports said that the thieves were able to enter the doctor’s office through an open cellar door.

The thieves took away the doctor’s laptop, some amount of cash stashed somewhere, as well as prescription forms and perfumes.

Worried of possible leak

Worried that a possible leak regarding Michael Schumacher’s true medical conditions comes out in public as a result of the burglary , the F1 racer’s family headed by his wife Corinna, 17-year-old daughter Gina Maria and 15-year-old son Nick, said that they are going to take legal actions if that happens.

Michael Schumacher’s recovery has reportedly been very slow. There are even reports that claim that the racer remains mute and paralyzed.

Despite a not-so-promising prognosis on Michael’s condition, the family remains hopeful as always even if it means waiting for a miracle.

The family does not care how much money they will spend on Michael for as long as it improves his condition. In fact, Schumacher’s father has already moved to his house in Lake Geneva so that he could also look after him along with Michael’s family.

Corinna is also a picture of strength despite the slow recovery of Michael. An insider said that she has been talking to her husband for hours on end with the hope that he will finally talk back to her. Latest word indicated that Michael can already recognize the voices of his family members but he still can’t talk, sit up, nor walk.
