Macaulay Culkin Prefers Walking the Streets in the Wee Hours and Remain Unnoticed!

While he has been into occasional acting assignments as of late in a web series, a TV series, or an indie movie, Macaulay Culkin says he is essentially retired as an actor.

But he appears to be more contented with himself these days compared to several years back when he has gone on a rough patch in light of his substance abuse.

Late last month, the former child sensation of “Home Alone” shown more than 25 years ago, made a surprise appearance at Adam Green’s gig in Cambridge, England. The essentially retired actor managed to show off to the audience his dance moves while singing in front of the crowd at The Portland Arms.

Macaulay will be working again with Adam Green on the Kickstarter-funded project called “Aladdin,” which is coming after more than five years from their first collaboration on Green’s debut film “The Wrong Ferrari,” details Extra TV.

Laying low and unnoticed

Since first retiring from acting at the age of 14, Macaulay Culkin has been trying to keep away from the limelight by just laying low and preferring to go unnoticed and unrecognized in public, especially in New York City, where he now resides.

Of course, keeping a low profile back then when his girlfriend was Mila Kunis for eight years was very difficult for Macaulay considering how popular Mila as an actress is. He also dated another famous actress Rachel Miner for a couple of years. Now, he’s already dating Jordan Lane.

He said that he likes to step out of his house during the wee hours of the night because there is nobody out on the streets and he finds it easy to go unnoticed during those times.

But the 35-year-old former star of the iconic “Home Alone” movies was spotted early last month in the SoHo neighborhood of New York, strolling along the street with hardly a care in the world at daytime. He was seen rocking a man-bun and red fingernail polish as he puffs on a cigarette.

He casually made his way to the Smile Café in the SoHo neighborhood of New York and as he puffs on his cigarette in his right hand, he unintentionally showed off his red nail polish.

Struggling to get clean

There have been reports that the actor has been struggling to get clean since getting hooked on methadone some years ago.

The former child actor was also recently seen wearing a pair of denim trousers and brown, lace-up utility boots for his trip to the local eatery in New York. He also pulled his blonde hair back in a tight bun and shielded his eyes behind dark shades.

Culkin appears to be having a great amount of time to himself as he is almost done and over with acting, which he said in a recent interview.

He added that his days are normally spent doing artistic endeavors such as painting and ‘whatevering.’

Reports a few months ago were saying otherwise as Culkin appears to be being lured back to acting with several acting assignments on TV and perhaps on film.

There were also reports saying that former fiancée Mila Kunis has been discussing with him the possibility for him to return to full-time acting. In fact, the clandestine official meetings between the two even sparked rumors that Mila was cheating on her husband Ashton Kutcher.

In an interview early last month, the 35-year-old actor said that he is almost done with acting. He also admits to keeping a low profile for the past decade and counting and he was doing it on purpose.

He said that he is a man in his mid-30s so he does not prefer to be in the limelight anymore as much as he was when he was 10 years old when he became a Hollywood child actor sensation.
