Kris Jenner has finally addressed the public following her daughter Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris last week.
The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch broke her silence by posting a statement on Instagram saying that she is thankful for her family and that everyone should cherish their loved ones while they still have time.
The Daily Mail of UK notes that the momager has only posted twice after Kim’s robbery – once to promote Kylie’s new lip kit shades, and another to send prayers to Haiti in the wake of hurricane Matthew.
Jenner’s latest news hints at the ordeal that her daughter has suffered. The 35-year-old reality star was held at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room on Monday of last week.
None of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has spoken publicly about the incident. The famous clan even went social media silent in the wake of the robbery on Kim.
Kim was in Paris along with sisters Kourtney and Kendall and mom Kris for Paris Fashion Week. Kris went back to Los Angeles a few days earlier with Kim and Kourtney staying an extra two days to see Kendall’s final runway show.
Kourtney and Kendall went to a club the night of the robbery and Kardashian was alone in her hotel room.
The men reportedly held the concierge of the hotel at gunpoint to gain access to Kim’s room in the early hours of Monday.
The robbers reportedly woke her up from the bed and declared robbery. She was tied up and gagged in the bathtub while five men stole her belongings amounting to almost $11 million.
Kim pleaded with the gunmen to spare her life because her children are still little. Fortunately, Kim’s children – 3-year-old North and 10-month-old Saint – were not in the room when the attack happened.
Sources close to the reality star says that she’s physically fine but definitely shaken by the incident. She has been crying every day since the incident and is clearly traumatized.
Sources say that Kim thought that she was really going to die and Kanye really feared that the men raped his wife.
In the official report, Kim describes the robber as Caucasian and European descent, big men, and all middle-aged. The five men are still at large.
Kim has since fled back to New York where her husband Kanye was having a tour. The rapper was having a show when he was informed of his wife’s incident.
Kanye had to cut his concert short stating family emergency just a few hours after the news broke out. He also rescheduled some of his tour dates to be with his wife.
Kris’ Instagram post came just days after Kourtney posted a photo of a quote from her daily devotional book.
The 37-year-old shared a religious quote Wednesday last week in support of her sister, who also became a target of social media bashing after her incident with other people saying that she deserved what happened to her because she flaunted her gems.
TV host James Cordon was one of those who defended Kim against those throwing flak on Kim by saying that if they don’t have anything nice to say, it’s better to shut up.
E! has halted production for the 13th season of the family’s reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashian” in respect of the family and Kim’s recovery from the trauma.
The network released a statement that they value Kim’s recovery more than anything and that the family can take all the time they need before they’re ready to film again.
The family has since upped their security. Kourtney has heightened her security because she fears for the safety of her kids Mason, Penelope, and Reign. People reports that Kanye is also beefing up the security of their family.
