Reality star Khloe Kardashian figured in a near-fatal car accident in Bozeman, Montana on February 21. She was driving her black GMC Yukon SUV over an icy road when it skidded and she momentarily lost control of the wheel
The vehicle dangerously went to the opposite lane facing oncoming traffic before Khloe managed to get a hold of the wheel and drove the car into a ditch.
She and the three other passengers of the SUV, including Kim Kardashian, their stepsister Kylie Jenner, and Kim’s daughter North West were all unhurt as a result of the accident.
Capt. Mark Wilfore of the Montana Highway Patrol said that accident involving the Kardashians happened shortly before noon on a highway between Bozeman and Belgrade, cites MSN Entertainment from an AP report.
Unharmed and safe
The accident site is near the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport but it was not clear where the Kardashians were headed.
The GMC Yukon of Khloe Kardashian also had very little damage according to the authorities who came just minutes after the accident, after the motor carrier service firm called the police.
Initial investigation indicates that there was nothing wrong with the driving of Khloe Kardashian or her SUV. Authorities reported that the incident was actually part of similar vehicular accidents on that same day because of the same icy roads, reports TMZ.
According to initial investigation by cops, Khloe was driving in a highway at Bozeman when a semi-truck drove by their car and splattered a ton of snow towards their direction. Some of the snow hit the GMC Yukon windshield and it blinded Khloe on the wheel.
When the reality star could no longer see the road, she started swerving to the right until the SUV hit a patch of black ice. The GMC Yukon skidded and spun out of control, crossing oncoming traffic, before ending up in a ditch.
Accident prone family?
The road accident involving the Kardashian family came two weeks after their patriarch Bruce Jenner also figured in a fatal car crash in Malibu, California.
Bruce Jenner was the one who actually caused the four-vehicle collision on the Pacific Coast Higway in Malibu also around noon on February 7, leaving one person dead as a result.
Subsequent investigations indicate that Bruce Jenner rear ended the white car ahead of him and the car went into oncoming traffic before it got struck by the Hummer. The woman driving the white car died as a result of the accident.
Amid the near-miss and all, and also involving her one-year-old daughter by Kanye West, Kim Kardashian still managed to showcase what happened to them on the road in Montana when she posted a picture on her Instagram account the ditch where their vehicle ended up and also thanked the Lord for watching over them and keeping them safe.
