Supermodel Kate Upton and athlete boyfriend Justin Verlander have been rumored to have called it quits. Reports of their split surfaced when news came out that the 23-year-old model has rejected her 32-year-old beau’s proposal quite too many times that it only made sense that Verlander called their relationship off.
OK! Magazine claims that the Detroit Tigers pitcher is hell bent on marrying Upton and start a family with her after three years of dating. After all, it was reported that the pitcher has popped the question so many times he had lost count already. Apparently, the enthusiasm for wedding bells and kids appears to be one-sided as the Sexiest Woman Alive for 2014 is not yet ready to deal with being someone’s wife and mother, even asking her boyfriend to tone down the spousal talks.
It would be understandable for the athlete to want to settle down any time now, but their nine-year age gap reportedly plays a huge factor why marriage won’t come sooner for the couple. The magazine narrates that although the baseball pro understands that his girlfriend is still young and her career as an actress is starting to take off, but Upton’s resistance and continuous rejections to the marriage proposals seemed to have worn out Verlander’s patience which have led to the pair’s breakup.
The couple began dating in 2011 and while they have broken up once, they seemingly patched things up together and reunited. Also, their relationship was unfazed when nude photos of Upton along with other celebrities surfaced on the internet late last year as a result of hackers having access to the artists’ iCloud storage.
Following her appearance in Sports Illustrated, Upton was named Rookie of the Year in 2011 and was the cover model for two consecutive years. The swimsuit model was also the focus of Vanity Fair’s 100th-anniversary cover. Her acting ventures consists of financially successful films such as “Tower Heist” released in 2011 and “The Other Woman” which hit the big screen last year, and in which she was joined by comedy veterans Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann.
Presently, Upton is busy promoting her fourth and upcoming movie “The Layovers” in which she will be joined by Alexandra Daddario, Matt Barr, Kal Penn, Molly Shannon, and William H. Macy among others. The film is set for a July 2016 release and revolves around two best friends, played by Upton and Daddario, who go on a tropical vacation to escape their stressful lives. However, they ended up getting to St. Louis and the two of them begin to fight as they have eyes for the same guy whom they both met on the plane.
Meanwhile, the campaign model is set to be replaced by singer Mariah Carey as the new image model of the popular mobile strategy video game by Machine Zone “Game of War: Fire Age.” While there was no reason for the game developer’s decision to do so, reports say it had to do with how the cost of keeping Upton. For her part, “The Other Woman” star only has good words for the 45-year-old diva and she believes that she is leaving the game in good hands.
According to Venture Capital Post, Justin and Kate have not been seen together for months now which have led to assumptions that they have indeed called it off although no one is still making an official announcement about it. The Bobbi Brown campaign model has not given many updates on her social media pages as well which is considered odd as she is known to be very sharing about what’s going on between them. Also, reports are surfacing that the two didn’t see each other all throughout summer, reinforcing notions that the two are having a fallout.
