It would appear that most critics found the film a bit too shallow and the performances of some actors below satisfying, while this didn’t seem to bother fans that much. It’s also interesting to note that different critics have different gripes with the production, and there isn’t as much overlap as one would expect.
Fans – a group traditionally easier to please – apparently simply enjoyed the production for what it was, and got to see their favorite characters in a spectacular battle the likes of which has never been shown on the big screen before.
There are also those who keep pointing towards the major box office success of the production, claiming that it’s a clear sign that the critics are wrong. It’s perfectly possible for a low-quality production to score big in financial terms of course – especially one preceded by so much anticipation in the first place – so there is probably some truth to those claims.
But critics are people with their own opinions, and if Jesse Eisenberg reprises his role for “Justice League: Part 1”, the crew should probably take a second look at how they are handling his character. Judging by some of the reviews that have come out, it wouldn’t take too much adjusting to get those performances right for the next time, and this could have a huge impact on the success of the film.
