The “Fifty Shades” trilogy is a film adaptation of E.L James’ controversial and erotic novel series. Dornan plays the eponymous Christian Grey and Johnson portrays Anastasia Steele.
The first book, “Fifty Shades of Grey” narrates the story of how Christian and Ana enter in a BDSM relationship.
The film version ended with Ana leaving Christian after the latter said that he cannot love Ana the way she wants him to.
The sequel will comprise of the original cast with the addition of Bella Heathcote, Kim Basinger, and Eric Johnson,
Heathcote plays Leila Williams, Christian’s estranged ex-girlfriend who threatens his and Ana’s lives. Basinger will portray Elena Lincoln or the infamous Mrs. Robinson
Those who have read the novel would know that Christian was Mrs. Robinson’s submissive when he was just 15 years old. Anastasia will be furious when she finds out that the two still remain in contact and even share a business venture.
Meanwhile, Eric Johnson plays Jack Hyde, Ana’s boss who has a liking for her. It turns out that Christian and Jack grew up in the same foster home. Both also had a violent childhood, but Jack apparently harbored ill feelings towards the Greys for adopting Christian instead of him.
