Aside from ‘Kung Fu Yoga,” Hong Kong martial arts actor, Jackie Chan has an upcoming movie entitled “Railroad Tigers” which pairs him with singer-rapper Zitao Huang, who is more popularly known as Z Tao.
During the press conference for the launching of the movie in Singapore, Jackie Chan embarrassed Z Tao big time when he told the media that the constant rapping on the set of the singer-songwriter was excruciatingly annoying.
Jackie Chan revealed that Z Tao would rap every day during filming. He explained that it was good initially but then it became intolerable as the filming progresses.
But the veteran action star was making the disclosure in jest as he even mimicked the rapping style of Z Tao during the press conference, which had the singer-songwriter turning red with embarrassment, although he knows that Jackie Chan was just putting one over him.
The martial arts actor also detailed hilariously when Z Tao was unable to shoot because he got sick with Chicken Pox and Jackie said that the set got a reprieve from his rapping, finally getting their much-needed peace and quiet, amid the laughter of the press, reports the International Business Times of Singapore.
Leading a team of freedom fighters
“Railroad Tigers” will be released in Singapore theaters on December 29 and based on the synopsis of the movie, it will be about the story of a railroad worker in China back in 1941 who led a team of freedom fighters against the invading Japanese forces in order to get food for the poor.
Jackie Chan takes on the role of Ma Yuan, the head porter, while Z Tao will play Da Hai, an amateur tailor.
A trailer of the “Railroad Tigers” was already released and it is basically an action-adventure comedy film, typical of Jackie Chan movies.
It will have some eventual tragedy and sacrifices as the stakes become high throughout the film. “Railroad Tigers” also features excellent cinematography as some of the scenes in the film remind one of the famous 1975 Indian film “Sholay” featuring superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
A very good dancer
Meanwhile, during the promotion of “Kung Fu Yoga,” Indian actress Disha Patani, who is to be the co-star of Jackie Chan in the film says that the action star is a very good dancer.
She said that they all enjoyed filming the movie but the Chinese crew enjoyed more than them because it was a dream to watch Bollywood dancing, referring to how Indians dance.
Patani said that it was also a wonderful experience for her and she found out also that Jackie is a superb terpsichorean who understands the beats and music.
She added that she believes that Jackie Chan always wanted to a do a Bollywood dance number so the actor likely had fun doing it during the filming, notes the Pink Villa.
The pretty Indian actress also said that she was star-struck while shooting the film with Jackie Chan. She will be playing the role of an archaeologist in “Kung Fu Yoga,” which shall be hitting global theaters on January 28.
Patani also says that working with Jackie Chan for “Kung Fu Yoga” is a dream come true for her.
She says that Jackie Chan was impressed with her in her Bollywood debut movie with Sushant Sing Raiput entitled “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story,” that she was chosen to be his leading lady in “Kung Fu Yoga.”
However, typical with a Jackie Chan movie, Patani will be performing martial arts, intense action, and gymnastics in the film.
When she was asked if she was to be the love interest of Jackie Chan’s character in the movie, Patani explained that the films of Jackie typically don’t focus on the love story but something that is brewing between their two characters.
She added that she hopes that filmmakers also see her as an actress who can punch as well as dance after seeing “Kung Fu Yoga.”

Wow. Poor Zitao. That was kinda rude of Chan to put him on the spot like that. I understand his frustration, because I do have a brother who is very similar and it can get very irritating, but he could have told Zitao himself and not to reporters. He didn’t have to publicly shame the kid.
