Meanwhile, while fans are awaiting the reunion of Liv and Major, one executive producer thinks that a Liv and Peyton pairing might actually happen this season.
Speaking to TV Line, Diane Ruggerio-Wright jokes that McIver and Aly Michalka, who plays Liv’s best friend Peyton are both fine actresses and their chemistry is really good on screen. She adds that the writers are open for a potential romance between the two.
McIver has earlier stated that she’s down if Liv would be paired with a woman so Ruggerio-Wright’s recent statements somehow infuse a lot of talks that the third season might see Liv and Peyton as more than friends.
While this could potentially happen in the future, showrunner Thomas reveals that, in the immediate future, Liv will have a love interest this year that will not die.
This is actually a great surprise as this will finally end her streak of dead boyfriends. However, Thomas says that the relationship will not end in death but because of something else. Case in point, the relationship is still bound to end.
The upcoming season will also see more of Liv and Clive’s “no more secrets” policy at work, some revealing flashbacks, and zombie revolution.
