iZombie Season 2 Spoilers And Episode Recaps Posted Online!

Over the last ten years or more, the CW network has really changed up its programming. For the most part, the “after school special” style has been replaced with a lot of television shows that fall into the fantasy, supernatural drama category than anything else. Some of the shows are very popular and that includes iZombie. The second season was extended back in November to include nineteen full episodes and the fans of the show are very excited about that.

iZombie is based on the comic book series to some degree, but for the most part has to do with a medical resident being turned into a zombie at a boat party. That medical resident now works in the morgue and that is the best place for her to indulge in her appetite for brains. Moving forward, keeping the secret from her boss becomes the first dramatic part of the entire show. This zombie show has just a little twist on the brain eating part.

For each brain that the “Olivia” consumes while in the morgue, she experiences the personality traits of that person for a short time. That brings a level of something not usually seen with zombie shows into the new series. On the plus side of the brain eating side effect, Olivia gets to see some of the clues that were left behind when the victim was murdered. Naturally allowing her to help the police, who think she is some sort of psychic.

For now, there are six main characters in the show and each of them has their own special part in the show. In a recent episode, it was revealed that Max Ragers finally has his “Super Max”, drink figured out. For fans of the comic book series, this means a lot and for those that were not sure what it meant, the executive producer said that it will be like Popeye’s can of spinach and have a “great effect”. The episode was called, “Fifty Shades of Grey Matter”, so you can deduce what you want from that.

Rager is a sports drink manufacturer, which is what you learned right at the end of the first season. He was working on a brand new product that was called, “Super Max”. Basically, the drink has been formulated to end exhaustion and allow people to stay awake forever. Sleeping and exhaustion will be a thing of the past, according to show notes. The basic description of the drink is that it is actually an “amphetamine, a steroid, an opioid.” Since the drink has been blamed for the zombie problem, Rager has been trying to figure out what part of the drink is responsible so it can be removed.
