‘House of Cards’ Season 5 to Bring Women More Power Through Claire’s Presidency?

In an interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the 56-year-old actor said that the show still has the writers, the storylines, and the writers also know where they want the show to go so there’s no worry about Willimon departing the show.

Spacey adds that the kind of departure happens to almost any show. He even revealed that Willimon is still unofficially part of the show.

Colbert also asked the Academy Award-winning actor if the cast and crew don’t get spooked, given that the events on the show are seemingly happening in real life as the US will be holding its presidential elections this coming November.

Spacey answered that they get asked that question every season and many people even suspect that they have copied certain scenes in real life, which is unlikely because the show is filmed a few months before it airs.

Some reports state that Season 5 will serve as the last season because the last episode of the fourth season was already the 52nd chapter which denotes that the deck of cards has already been completed and that the fifth season will tie up loose ends for the characters.

Also, the British version of the show lasted for only five seasons which could mean that its US adaptation could follow its footsteps.
