Contrary to previous speculations a few months back that Season 4 of the popular series will see Frank and Claire Underwood will start living separate lives following their blowout breakup during the Season 3 finale, latest reports now say that the First Couple shall be able to patch things up.
Frank and Claire will get back together again, at least in the early episodes of Season 4. There were previous reports that said that Claire will become Frank’s main opponent during the presidential election because she knows everything about him. If there is one person who has the power to destroy Frank, it is no other than Claire.
While the plotline does has a unique appeal because it will definitely shake up the coming episodes of “House of Cards,” the strength of the show is anchored on the marriage of the First Couple.
The showrunner said that it was important for them to show viewers that Frank and Claire, just like any other couple, do experience marital problems and also face various struggles as married persons do.
He said that while “House of Cards” hardly focus on the relationship of the First Couple during the first two seasons, it got into the limelight during Season 3, which fans really appreciated. He added that they wanted to tell the story about the marriage of Frank and Claire and there were a lot of fans and viewers of the TV series that really appreciated their efforts for that.
