Players have been talking about the eventual multiplayer of the game quite actively, and while their suggestions are all over the place and difficult to summarize, the important thing to take away is that many people would be interested in seeing another “GTA” with an online component.
Nor only that, but players seem to want to see the idea expanded and taken beyond what it currently is. The multiplayer of “GTA 5” was a bit of a trial and the studio is obviously still trying to figure out what kind of direction they want to take the online experience in for the future, but they are already on the right track if we look at player responses.
The mail criticism people have for this part of the game right now is that it can get old too quickly ij some circumstances, so a little extra content probably wouldn’t hurt.
And if Rockstar decided to allow their fans to contribute to this aspect of the game’s development through custom content, this could really push the entire franchise forward. “Just Cause” is a good example of that, as are many of Valve’s games, so all Rockstar have to do is implement a similar system in their own title.
