‘GTA 6’ Could Possibly Return to San Fierro and Las Venturas to Complete the San Andreas Territories in ‘GTA 5,’ Latest Rumors Say!

Until last month, the rumors about the open world action-adventure video game “Grand Theft Auto 6” are saying that the game would have the entire US for its gameplay map.

However, subsequent rumors seem to suggest that it is not going to be the case as there were even speculations that the game could be set in London or in Tokyo, Japan.

Lately, there are reports saying that the upcoming sixth installment of the successful video game franchise could actually take place in San Fierro or Las Venturas or both in order to complete the San Andreas territories not found in “GTA 5,” reports Valuewalk.

According to the same reports, the two locations were not included by game developer Rockstar Games in “GTA 5” during its release late in 2013 because of console limitations and resource allocation. As a result, only the Los Santos and surrounding Blaine County were featured in “GTA 5.”

Many fans and gamers of “GTA 5” expressed their thoughts that they have missed San Fierro and Las Venturas in the current iteration of the highly successful video game.

Among the past locations of the “GTA” games, Vice City was one of the most popular and many fans are salivating at the possibility of a return to the location that was patterned after Miami, Florida.

However, just like previous reports about the possible location of “GTA 6,” these are mere speculations pending the confirmation from Rockstar Games.

Rumored release date is consistent

While the rumors about the game setting for “GTA 6” have been plenty and conflicting, the speculations about the release date seem consistent – the game shall come out in 2018.

The 2018 release date is based on the five-year gap trend of Rockstar Games when it comes to launching their “GTA” games. “GTA 4” was released in 2008 while “GTA 5” came out in 2013. As such, it is not surprising if fans , gamers, and critics all believe that “GTA 6” will indeed come out in 2018, notes the Christian Today.

There are also speculations that the game shall come out at the time of the release of the next generation of gaming platforms from Sony and Microsoft in the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Two, respectively.

However, the rumor has yet to be confirmed by all three parties involved in the reports including Rockstar, Sony, and Microsoft.

At this juncture, fans are also looking forward to an official statement or announcement from Rockstar Games regarding the development or possible release date of “GTA 6” in next week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 to be held in California.

But the reports are also fairly consistent that Rockstar would be putting the spotlight on its open world Western action-adventure video game “Red Dead Redemption 2” at next week’s event.

Why Tokyo made the rounds as game location

The rumors about Tokyo being the new location for “GTA 6” came out based on key information made available recently.

Accordingly, Take-Two Interactive, the publisher, developer, and distributor of Rockstar video games has made a trademark filing for “GTA: Tokyo” recently. It’s really nothing surprising since the game publisher also did file for trademarks for “GTA: Bogota” and “Grand Theft Auto: Sin City” in the past.

Personnel of Rockstar Games actually traveled and made an ocular of Tokyo not too long ago, which means that it is possible that they were carrying out reference trips so they can take pictures, meet locals, and get a feel of the area that they are going to transform into a digital version.
