It’s clear that the producers of “Grimm” have very specific plans about moving the show forward, and they want to try to shake things up a little bit for the new season, which could have some rather negative implications for some fans.
But in the end, this is how a show progresses from “good” to “amazing”, and no show in history has made a solid name for itself by sticking to the same formula over and over again. At some point, a change has to be made in certain areas in order to keep moving forward.
Looking at the online discussions that fans are having, it’s obvious that many of them do appreciate the occasional display of emotions between the characters, and drama is an inevitable element of this show.
But people also want to see the kind of tense moments that we got to know “Grimm” for in the first place, and more supernatural creatures that have viewers at the edge of their seats. This is a show that’s about the supernatural around us first and foremost, and as long as season 5 does a good job of continuing that trend and pays sufficient attention to it, we expect nothing but good things from the show’s future.
