Grimm Season 5 to Deal with Issue of Loss and Familiar Themes from Season 1!

“Grimm” has gone through some rather dramatic developments lately, and season 4 ended on a somewhat questionable note, leaving many fans to wonder what they can expect from the next set of episodes. We saw Nick losing his mother, and to none other than Juliette too, something which shook up many fans of the show. The scene was dramatic and intense, and it set up a very interesting situation for the upcoming season 5.

What happened was that Juliette ended up transforming into a beast, starting a chain reaction that culminated in the murder of Nick’s mother. To make matters worse, Nick was of course distraught at the situation and confused over how he should react, finding it hard to end Juliette’s life due to his feelings for her. Thankfully, Trubel was there to make the difficult decision for him, leaving Juliette to die by Nick.

Things are definitely shaping up to be very messy for Nick, who will also have to deal with the fact that Adalind tricked him into getting her pregnant, posing as Juliette. She was hoping to steal Nick’s powers from him with this act, but we don’t know how this is going to end up. The relationship between these two characters could get very intense now, and there’s no doubt that the writers will want to revisit that in some more detail.

It’s probably setting the story up for some particularly dramatic development in the future, possibly during season 5, but we have no idea what that could be. We don’t expect that Adalind would be going anywhere anytime soon though, as her character seems pivotal to the development of the plot right now.

In other news, the show is going to go back to its roots in season 5, exploring some of the themes and characters of season 1. The producers weren’t very clear on what this means exactly, but they did hint at the possibility of seeing some old characters returning, and this could have some interesting implications for the future of the plot.

Another way to interpret the message is that some of the current characters will revert their personalities to what they were like in season 1. There will apparently be even more conflict in the new season, as each character is now striving for his/her own goal, much like everyone was doing back in the first season.

Nick himself is likely going to go through a serious transformation – as we said above, the character will now have to deal with the death of his mother, and that’s something that will probably be a major focus in the new season. Indeed, there have been hints that the season is going to be very emotional and full of moments that bring a tear to the eye.

Hopefully this doesn’t mean that they’re going to tone down the action and suspense that many fans came to love this show for though, as even though “Grimm” has strong potential for emotional moments, this is definitely not the main point of the show and not the main attracting factor for a lot of people.

Grimm Season 4

In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if some fans ended up disappointed if the show focuses too much on emotional storylines and developments, and that part of the story should ideally be compressed into a few special episodes that explore the emotional side of each character in more detail. It’s about time to see what’s going on in the heads of some of those characters, and season 5 would be the perfect opportunity for that.
