Those three major attributes alone would put the GoPro Hero 5 a cut above the rest of all other cameras in the market today. It will likewise effectively position the device as the most powerful videographic equipment in the world, as what GoPro has envisioned it to be.
It is also because of the efforts of GoPro to make the Hero 5 the best action camera and videographic equipment in the world that the release date of the device was pushed back from an earlier announcement of October 5, 2015, to an undisclosed date in 2016.
Apparently, it was also a market strategy for GoPro as the company unveiled its GoPro Hero LCD in June followed by the GoPro Hero 4 Session in July.
The time would enable the American camcorder company to incorporate more new technologies to the device and make it really the best there is when it comes out in the retail markets next year.
There have been speculations that in addition to its superb features and capabilities, the GoPro Hero 5 will come out cheaper than its predecessor, the Hero 4 when it finally hits the market in 2016.
This is obviously one of the most ironic hype for the upcoming action camera, perhaps not of the company’s doing but likely its fans.
Logic dictates that once new and modern technologies are incorporated into a device, it follows that it comes with added cost. So it would be a losing proposition for GoPro to incorporate pricey modern features to its latest camera if it would price it lower than its predecessor. It would not simply make good business sense at all.
