Google Nexus 7 2016 to be Released with the Company’s New Operating System in Android Nougat or Nutella!

There are reports saying that the seventh iteration of the Google Nexus, which will be officially called as the Google Nexus 7 2016, would be released soon along with the American tech company’s latest mobile operating system, the Android N.

There are those saying that the next Google mobile operating system is to be called as Android 7.0 Nougat but there are also those who are stating that it could be Android 7.0 Nutella.

Regardless of the official name of the next Google mobile operating system, the company’s flagship smartphone, the Google Nexus 7 2016, shall reportedly join the launching of the new Android OS.

There are reports saying that the beta testing phase of the operating system will be completed by the end of July and it would probably be released next month.

The news has also paved the way for the rumors of the release date of the Google Nexus 7 2016, placing it in August as well, reports Mobile & Apps.

However, some critics believe that August is too early for the release of the Android Nougat or Nutella and they believe that it would happen in October, giving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow the opportunity to complete its customary one-year market cycle.

Coming out in two variants

In order to make sure that it comes out with an excellent flagship smartphone, Google has actually hooked up with HTC to manufacture the device.

Google Nexus 7 2016 shall reportedly come out in two variants – the Nexus Sailfish and the Nexus Marlin.

While Google has yet to announce an official release date for the Nexus 7 2016, the two variants of its upcoming flagship smartphone will be almost similar except for their screen sizes.

The Nexus Martin shall have a 5.5-inch screen while the Nexus Sailfish will feature a 5-inch screen.

But both smartphones shall have a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with AMOLED display, a fingerprint scanner, a generous 3,540 mAh battery, 4GB or RAM, and USB Type-C port.

The cameras of both Google Nexus 7 2016 smartphones shall have 12 megapixels and their front snappers would be eight megapixels.

However, in terms of storage capacity, the Nexus Sailfish shall have a 12GB storage only while the Nexus Marlin shall have a 32GB storage.

Two smartwatches in the works too

In addition to the two variants of the Nexus 7 2016, Google shall also be releasing two new Nexus-branded smartwatches called as Angelfish and Swordfish soon.

According to reports, the two Android wearables will feature advanced Google Assistant AI integration features with Android Wear 2.0 OS, reports the University Herald.

They shall also include LTE, heart rate monitor functionality, and GPS with better text input controls. However, there is no official update on the probable release date of the smartwatches.

Incidentally, Google Nexus 7 2016 might have Android Nutella on board since Android’s senior VP, Hiroshi Lockheimer, revealed the hint in his Twitter account.

Lockheimer tweeted the news either on purpose or not, stating that he’s just testing some stuff out but the image posted shows the word “Nutella” on Google search engine.

Another Google Nexus 7 2016 rumor revolves around the Nexus 5X, whose price has been dropping lately. This could be a clue to an upcoming Google smartphone to be released very soon.

The Nexus 7 2016 specs are expected to be much higher or better than previous Nexus 5X that runs on Android Marshmallow, with a 12.3-megapixel rear camera, and a 5.2-inch display.

As one of the most awaited and most highly anticipated smartphones supposedly slated to come out soon, Google’s next version of the Nexus 7 2016 smartphone line had fans of the Android operating system continually on edges, notes the Vine Report.

However, its release date is said to be delayed due to the development of the new Android N operating system.
