Last but not least, we’ve seen some interesting discussions about some more minor characters, such as Farkle. According to some recent discussions, his character could also use some additional in-depth development, although the way the writers have portrayed him so far makes it a bit questionable what kind of direction he can be taken in.
As we pointed out above, “Girl Meets World” still has quite the strong potential, and it’s one of Disney’s more successful ideas so far. The show should definitely be given another chance after season 3, as in the least, it should be a good source of income for the studio.
Official statements are so far scarce, and even some people attached to the production have claimed to not have any information about what’s going on behind the scenes at the higher levels. That could of course be false, but it’s also entirely possible knowing the way Disney works.
It’s definitely nice to see that everyone involved with the production is so supportive of it in the current situation though, and we’ve seen many stars expressing their desire to continue working on “Girl Meets World”. We’ve even seen reports of a petition circulating among some stars, and we’re curious to see if anything could come out of that.
If no official reports come out by the end of this year, this could possibly be a bad sign for the future of the show. Hopefully that won’t be the case, however, as it would be a huge loss for both Disney and their fans.
