Fans are already looking forward to the next season of “Game of Thrones” now that the show’s fifth season is over, and it looks like there will be various exciting developments for the new round of episodes. Recently, we’ve gotten some spoilers about the contents of the new episodes, and it looks like the show’s producers are planning to introduce some interesting additions to the show, such as big dragons.
There has been a lot of emphasis on special effects in the more recent episodes of the show, and dragons specifically are a common theme in the production as they get lots of references throughout the episodes. But now, fans are going to be treated to the most exciting depiction of the creatures yet, as we’re going to see some amazingly designed dragons in the new season.
They will be pretty huge too – the new dragons will be double in size, according to reports, and while that’s going to be amazing from the point of view of a fan, it has apparently been causing some small issues in the production process itself. Coming up with the necessary effects and graphics to depict the huge creatures hasn’t been that difficult, but now there are some problems with handling them on the set correctly.
The main problem is that the dragons have to be carried on and off the set piece by piece due to their size – the original versions of the creature could easily be carried around in their entirety as they were small foam models, but now this has been getting more difficult, as pieces have been growing larger and larger.
The team behind the production have apparently been brainstorming lots of different ideas for handling its visual effects, and they have various different plans for how they want to approach the show’s special effects. There are various ideas that they want to implement, and not all of them are going to make it into the final production. But one thing is clear – fans are going to be treated to much more in the way of special effects than they got from previous seasons of the show.
Meanwhile, George R.R. Martin has been hard at work on the latest installment in the book series that the show is based on, “Winds of Winter”. The author had to delay the book several times due to problems in coming up with some parts of its plot, and he has apparently had to rearrange the book’s structure a bit in order to get it released on time.
The show has already spoiled some theories of the books
Not really.
Just because some of the content was cut doesn’t mean it wont appear in the next series. That’s how it works for stuff like this.
I expect to see griffins roost and the iron islands feature more prominently in the next series.
They tend not to build up the smaller back story as fitting such a huge book into a small 10 episode series is a difficult task.
