According to rumors, Cersei would wage an all-out war against the High Sparrow and all the men of King Tommen, even to the point of holding his own son captive or worst, killing him. Cersei shall reportedly burn all of King’s Landing the way that the Mad King did in the past to wrest control of the Iron Throne from her son.
She shall reportedly become the big bad in Season 7 and Daenerys and her army will be going up against her.
But there are still some factors to consider in such theory including the plan of Queen Margaery or how House Tyrell will play into the situation. All these, however, remain as speculations and shall only be verified by fans come June 27.
Incidentally, there have been reports that “Game of Thrones” shall end after Season 8, which seems likely.
Although there are many stories to tell and the TV series could well be extended beyond Season 8, but reports have it that the five key cast members of “Game of Thrones” including Lena Heady (Cersei Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) will each earn upward of $500,000 per episode in Season 7 and most likely in Season 8, reports the Telegraph of UK.
That’s a lot of money for the producers to shell out just to keep the show on the air for two more seasons although the ratings and the critical acclaim are well worth it.
