The show is VERY popular and has quite a following for sure. Besides the next season starting up, there is something new coming to HBO for the first time and Game of Thrones is going to be a part of it.
The new thing, according to sources, is that two episodes from the last season of the show, will be played in IMAX. The television show will be the first ever on HBO to be remastered for IMAX and the two shows will be running towards the end of this month. According to a few sources online, the episodes “The Watchers on the Wall” and “The Children” will be getting the silver screen option.
The sources also claim that the two episodes will be ready to view on January 23rd and the 29th, respectively. HBO’s CMO said that “grand scope” of the popular television series is perfect for IMAX format. Fans of the show will be thrilled for sure and it might even open up other doors that were not there just a few years ago, in regards to television series.
According to a few fans sites, the Game of Thrones was one of the most searched television shows on Google last year. It was also the most mentioned television shows on Facebook according to the same source. Game of Thrones has won 4 Emmy’s so far and it has been nominated a record 19 times, including Best Drama Series coming up at the Golden Globes.
Fans would like to know what they can expect for the fifth installment to the television series, but the information is a little hard to come by. Some teaser footage, as well as the year end video revealed enough to keep fans talking about it, but not enough to get excited about.
There could be a new character coming to the show, at least if you take a look at the teaser footage that was released. It shows a person that you cannot see very well, rowing a boat. The fifth season sneak peek will be offered in an upcoming “A Day in the Life” episode that will air on February 8th and should carry the online buzz through the premier.
