No, there is not going to be any crossover of “Transformers” into the very popular role-playing game “Final Fantasy XV.” But the video game would be featuring walking robot tanks or giant mechanical beasts that Noctis would use to get around and achieve his objectives.
In addition, the video game shall also bring back the eternally enjoyable Magitek Armor suits which were last seen on “Final Fantasy VI,” notes Techno Buffalo.
Magitek suits have not been permanent staples of the “Final Fantasy” franchise just like Moogles and Chocobos, which recently turned up in “Final Fantasy XIV.”
However, the latest issue of “Weekly Jump” video gaming magazine in Japan stated the inclusion of the walking robot tanks and other interesting reveals for “Final Fantasy XV” when it finally hits the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One later this year.
But the publication also noted that the giant mechanical beasts would not be the only way that Noctis will be getting around in the game either. The protagonist would still be able to mount random monsters and ride them, taking a hit to his physical strength, and attacking ability.
More realism
Latest reports about the highly-anticipated role-playing game also cite that the Fire magic element in “Final Fantasy XV” also reacts with a bit more realism than in previous entries in the series.
Accordingly, if Noctis cast fires in grassy plains, the area around him will also catch fire that shall ultimately damage him, his friends, and enemies alike. So the player needs to be wary of the Fire magic element on the arsenal of Noctis. Apparently, Mother Nature knows no loyalties in “Final Fantasy XV.”
Game developer Square Enix has been very open about sharing elements in the development process of “Final Fantasy XV,” in an obvious effort to ensure to gamers that the game will indeed be coming out this year.
Gamers have been waiting for the release of the game since late in 2014 so Square Enix decided not to prolong the surprise anymore by formally announcing that 2016 would indeed be the release year of “Final Fantasy XV” although it has yet to announce a specific release date until this time.
The latest update given by Square Enix showed that it has been using motion capture technology to turn several scenes to animation in the game. Apparently, the developer has its own in-house motion capture studio, and it has been using the facility to create animations for “Final Fantasy XV,” notes Dual Shockers.
Square Enix also lets gamers in on the important meeting between game director Hajime Tabata and animator Toyama-san where the two were seen in the picture discussing some crucial detail in the game.
Aborted announcement
Square Enix was supposed to announce the official release date of “Final Fantasy XV” on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 during the Gamescom 2015 held in Cologne, Germany in August last year or in the pre-Tokyo Game Show 2015 press conference in September 2015, but none of that happened.
Instead, Square Enix released online an extended “Final Fantasy XV” trailer at the press conference before the TGS 2015 which it officially called as ‘Dawn’ which sure drew further excitement to the game.
The trailer actually retained much of the material from the original “Final Fantasy XV’ trailer, also called as ‘Dawn’ at the Gamescom 2015 in Germany.
What caught the attention of fans and gamers is that at the end of the extended ‘Dawn’ trailer of “Final Fantasy XV” there are words ‘Coming 2016’ emblazoned clearly and confidently on the screen, which indicates that the game is finally coming out this year.
That was the best news that the trailer has brought to gamers thus far because up until the time before it was shown, Square Enix has been very silent about the release date or time frame within which it will release the “Final Fantasy XV.”
Notwithstanding the countless delays that the previous game, “Final Fantasy Versus XIII” encountered before it was finally released, the 2016 release date window is a relief to the anxiously waiting gamers because they can already heave a sigh of relief that the game is indeed coming out.
