‘Fast & Furious 8’ to Feature Trendy, Sleek, and Fast Cars Going on an Icy Car Chase in Iceland!

As a film franchise about fast cars, the death-defying car chases are the bread-and-butter highlight of all of the past seven films of “Fast & Furious” movie series.

The upcoming eighth installment of the franchise, “Fast & Furious 8,” shall naturally have the same car chase scenes, only this time, it would be set in an icy cold surrounding.

Film producer Universal Pictures has recently released images of the vehicles used by the cast members during the filming of “Fast & Furious 8” in Iceland and the cars all look trendy and sleek in design and obviously very fast.

Iceland is just one of the film locations of “Fast & Furious 8,” along with Cuba and the United States.

Based on the pictures released by Universal, Dominic ‘Dom’ Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, shall be handling a Dodge Ice Charger; Letty Ortiz, played by Michelle Rodriguez, shall be driving a sporty black and gray Rally Fighter featuring big wheels; Luke Hobbs, played by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, driving an Ice Ram; Roman Pearce, played by Tyrese Gibson, handling an orange Lamborghini; and Tej, played by Ludacris, driving a Ripsaw, details Mobile & Apps.

With such powerful and fast vehicles, critics and fans have speculated that there is going to be an icy car chase sequence in “Fast & Furious 8” on its Iceland set.

Custom-designed wild rides

Interestingly, the wild rides featured in the photos have been custom-designed to adapt to Iceland’s snowy and slippery road conditions, reports HNGN.

It would really be another thrill-a-minute car chase the likes of which has never been seen before in the franchise, and is likely to become one of the key highlights of “Fast & Furious 8.”

The film franchise has transformed itself from a mere street racing and car-and-stunts movie to an extreme action film involving exotic locations, explosions, and cool rides.

Incidentally, Vin Diesel has just confirmed that there are now plans to do spin-off movies after the final trilogy of “Fast & Furious” ends in 2021.

The actor, who is also a producer of the franchise, says that the writers have written out storylines for various characters and that they have been playing with it for a long time. Vin Diesel said that “Fast & Furious” is a very rich property and they are all committed to treating it with a lot of class.

High among the spinoffs is the likely focus on Luke Hobbs. According to consulting producer Hiram Garcia, the possibility of having a movie solely dedicated to Hobbs is now seriously being discussed by the production team.

Garcia revealed that he has been in the mix with Chris Morgan, the writer, in expounding on Hobbs’ character, who is one of the all-time favorite characters in the “Fast & Furious” franchise. The good thing is that they are all interested in the idea so there is no reason why it should not happen.
