‘Fast & Furious 8’ May See Deckard Shaw Switching Sides; Another Big Bad Coming Out? Let’s See

It could be recalled that Cody stood in on some of the scenes for Paul during the filming of the “Fast & Furious 7.”

The inclusion of Cody and Caleb in the casting rumors of “Fast & Furious 8” began when speculations also came out that the next iteration of the very popular and successful movie franchise will feature Paul Walker again just like in “Fast & Furious 7.”

However, a top executive of NBC Universal Pictures has quashed those speculations. Ron Meyer, NBC Universal Vice Chairman, confirmed that Paul Walker will not be seen in the upcoming eighth installment of the popular movie franchise, quashing inaccurate speculations that the late actor will be seen reprising his character via CGI or another stand-in from his brother Cody, and perhaps Caleb too.

In a recent interview, Meyer said that Paul will not be in “Fast & Furious 8” but the actor’s character will be represented in some form or another.

Whether his image is in the movie or not, Meyer refuses to say. However, he stated for the record that Paul will not be in the film as a performer or as an actor the way they did it the last time. Meyer said that the next movie will still be “Fast & Furious” but it will be without Paul for the first time.

There were previous reports that “Fast & Furious 8” will be filmed in New York City for the very first time in the series. Eventually, speculations also started coming out that some of the scenes of the movie will be filmed in Cuba.

Vin Diesel has announced late last year the entry of Director F. Gary Gray for “Fast & Furious 8” who shall reportedly take place in New York and possibly Cuba.

The possible shooting of the film in Cuba would usher for the franchise another history. “Fast & Furious 8” could be the second Hollywood movie to shoot in Cuba since the United States imposed a ban on any relations with the Caribbean island nation since the 1960s.
