Fast and Furious 8 to Mix Things Up with a Female as the Main Antagonist, Who’s Being Considered? Let’s See

Some fans of the “Fast and Furious” franchise have been worried about the possible directions that it can be taken in, and nobody was sure what Vin Diesel would try to do after the way things went down with the last installment in the series. The seventh film was very difficult to complete due to the death of Paul Walker, and while many were convinced that it would be the final “Fast and Furious”, it was subsequently announced that not one, but three sequels are actually being planned right now, so it looks like things are relatively safe for fans of the films for the time being.

The only real question that remained for many people was about the way things would be handled in the future – it was pretty much guaranteed that we would see some changes for the next “Fast and Furious” film, as the producers would definitely have to mix things up a bit to keep their fans interested, and a recent announcement seems to confirm that too.

It was recently revealed that the main antagonist in “Fast and Furious 8” will actually be a female character, and from what we can tell, she will be acting alone and will be the main focus of the drama this time. However, only one specific name has been given yet, and of course fans have taken the opportunity to discuss the possibilities. Who could be the ideal villain in the next film in the series?

Charlize Theron has been mentioned as one of the actresses currently being considered, but this is not confirmed in any way yet, so fans should take those claims with a grain of salt. The actress herself hasn’t addressed the situation yet.

It’s worth pointing out that Theron seems to be the main candidate for the role, at least as far as the producers of the new film are concerned, as they’ve reportedly had her in their sights for a while. However, we don’t know if the actress herself is actually interested in the role, nor if she would have the possibility to perform it. People have generally been fond of her work, especially her role in “Mad Max”, so she could definitely fit the bill quite well.

We are not sure if the idea of a female villain is actually based on the premise of featuring Theron in that role, or if the connection goes the other way around. In other words, is it possible that the producers could decide to scrap the idea if they can’t get Theron on board? There are certainly other prominent female actresses that could play a character like this quite well, but maybe the producers has something more specific in mind related to Theron herself, in which case the idea of a female antagonist could die with her refusal to participate.

Or, according to some discussions, it could open up the doors to even more interesting possibilities, such as an entirely different configuration of villains unlike anything we’ve seen before in the series.

In any case, as some have pointed out, the schedule of Theron seems quite open right now, unless she has some unannounced project lined up. With that in mind, it would appear that the entire decision hinges on her own willingness to participate, and that in turn would probably depend on what kind of story the producers present to her in their proposal. But it would definitely be interesting to see this idea realized, one way or another.
