It has been about 10 years since the last time you saw the Fantastic Four in theaters and even though this reboot is going to feature some new faces, fans think that it will certainly impress. Fans were able to see a small piece of footage at a convention recently and that has created enough buzz for now. The new movie is going to include Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell. It will be directed by Josh Trank.
The movie is going to be based on the screenplay by Jeremy Tenner and the comic book characters that were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. If you have not seen the trailer yet, it is well worth the couple of minutes to look it up and get familiar with Jordan as the Human Torch, Mara as the Invisible Girl and Bell as Thing. The reboot is going to get plenty of attention as they usually do and most of it is going to come from fan boys that will let you know if everything is going the way it should.
Many fans are worried that the reboot could ruin the film series and even though they are not easy to do, the movie is likely to have a following based on the comic book and the first movie. Tim Blake and Chris Evans are the two characters that are going to be a part of the new movie and they were also a part of the first go around. When asked about the differences in the two, Tim Blake said what he could without offending anyone in the process.
The Fantastic Four is set to open in a theater near you on August 7th and it will be then that we get to see how two different studios portray the same movie. Back in 2009 it was announced that the reboot was in development and three years later Josh Trank was finally hired to direct with Slater writing the screenplay. At the beginning of last year the script was finished and the shooting of the movie had finally begun.
When the movie hits the theaters, it will likely be shown in 3D, as well as the traditional 2D formats. In the “new” Fantastic Four, four people will teleport to another place and on the way, their physical forms change and they are given new, “superhero” abilities. Now they must learn how to harness these powers and work together against an enemy that is going to seem very familiar to fans.
