Downton Abbey Season 6 to Conclude the Show, Michelle Dockery Already Has New Project on Her Hands!

“Downton Abbey” has had a pretty spectacular run so far, and the show managed to attain a large-sized viewer base with lots of dedicated fans. And now that it’s about to end, some fans are obviously disappointed, but at the same time thankful that they got a chance to see such a great production unfold. The show has managed to maintain its high quality throughout its seasons, and it’s going to be remembered well – which is always the better alternative to letting it run for many more years just to milk its popularity dry.

According to reports, actors on the production are already searching for new projects to take on after their contracts with “Downton Abbey” are over, and Michelle Dockery has reportedly already found something new. She might be headed to TNT for a brand new pilot for “Good Behavior”. The show is based on the Letty Dobesh books by Blake Crouch, and will see another collaboration between him and Chad Hodge, who produces “Wayward Pines”.

Dockery will play the role of Dobesh, a notorious con artist and thief who has been trying to figure out how to keep herself in one piece after getting out of prison. She’s trying to readjust herself to regular life but she’s struggling hard, as her criminal past always comes back to haunt her in the end.

We don’t know how the new show will be structured and presented, and some have been hopeful that it’s going to continue the trend set by “White Collar”, another production involving a skilled con artist which ended recently. It would be good if the new show is a thriller with some comedy thrown in like “White Collar”, but even if it leans more on the dramatic side it should still be good.

It should be noted that we’re yet to see an official confirmation about any of this, so it’s possible that Dockery will end up in another role altogether. It has been said to be a bit of a risk for the network to take that specific show, so they are apparently still trying to decide if they want to run it or not.

Still, the bar has been raised quite high by “Downton Abbey”, and the producers of the new show are probably well aware of that. Dockery might be a perfect fit for the role, but her fans shouldn’t expect the new show to be of the same production value as “Downton Abbey”. Sure, TNT are going to put a lot of effort into it with no doubt, but the kind of success that “Downton Abbey” enjoyed is a rare occurrence, and it was surely one of the main driving factors behind the show’s active production.

As for “Downton Abbey” itself, its final season will start airing in Britain later this year in the fall season, and will then arrive to PBS on January 2016. It’s shaping up to be a pretty good season so far, all things considered, and it looks like the show’s producers have been putting a lot of effort to make sure that it will have a good final run.

Other cast members from “Downton Abbey” have been moving on as well, such as Jessica Brown Findlay, who played the role of Lady Sybil Crawley and has become a pretty notable cast member. The actress has already managed to get some good film roles in productions like “Winter’s Tale” and “Albatross”, but now it looks like she will continue doing even more film work as she’s been cast in “This Beautiful Fantastic” with Tom Wilkinson and Jeremy Irvine.
