Derrick Rose’s Three-Point Buzzer Beater Against Cavaliers is His Biggest Shot in Three NBA Seasons

Contained his elation

After his buzzer-beating three-pointer went in to win for the Bulls the game, Rose did not smile as he went back to the Bulls bench even as his teammates carried him and patted him on the back for the superb shot he just made.

Rob McClanaghan, his personal basketball trainer, said at the Bulls locker room after the game that Derrick has earned that big shot. It took a long time to come and it finally did.

Bulls forward Taj Gibson cited that he sees Derrick smile all the time but he does not really show it out in the open.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said that there are not many like Derrick Rose in the NBA in terms of speed, quickness and power. He also did not dwell on the excitement over winning Game 3 of the series, preferring to focus instead on bringing the momentum for Game 4.

Also at the Bulls locker room, Noah said that Derrick Rose deserved that huge shot, citing that their team’s premier point guard has gone through so much over the last couple of years, so much adversity, and so much pain of not being able to play basketball.

He added that Derrick is somebody who has a lot of confidence in himself more than anybody that he has ever been around in the NBA so he knows Rose is bound to get his big shot sooner than later.
