David Beckham Goes from a Football Superstar to a Family Chauffeur!

David Beckham, the former Manchester United football star who was also once the world’s most famous soccer player, has retired from the sports in 2013 and has found himself becoming a hands-on father to his four children with Victoria Beckham, the former member of the British female group Spice Girls.

In a recent interview in “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” David said that since retiring from football almost two years ago, he has become a family chauffeur or more like a taxi driver to his four children who are all going to school already.

The 39-year-old soccer star said that after hanging up his sneakers he became an overnight taxi driver with his kids, where his retirement has been centered on. David refers to himself nowadays as an Uber driver because he takes his four children as early as seven in the morning to schools, making four drop offs at four different schools.

David and Victoria have four children, namely, Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 9, and Harper, 3, cites US Magazine.

Daily chauffeuring routine

By the time he is through with his morning routine, it is already 9 am and he will be home by then. He will stay for a couple of hours at home and leave before noon again because he needs to pick up his three-year-old daughter who will be out of school by 12 noon.

David then picks up his three boys again at around four in the afternoon from three different schools, takes them home to change and brings them to a soccer academy to train every night of the week.

He added that his chauffeuring or taxi driver routine with his kids usually goes up to 9:30 pm and then he retires home thereafter.

Despite this less than frenetic schedule from his days as a soccer player, he finds fulfilment and enjoyment by serving as a hands-on father to his four children in a quieter life.

Gaining weight?

A man preoccupied with the kind of David’s current routine would definitely gain bulge in the belly eventually but the former Machester United star appears to be still in top shape, almost two years after his retirement.

He also shared to Jimmy Kimmel that he was bathing Harper one day and the little girl just told her that he looks so chubby. He was not offended by the remarks of his daughter because he know he is not but from her little girl’s point of view, he gained weight.

After playing football for 22 years, he finds happiness in making his kids very happy. While his three children likes being taken to school, he’s eldest Brooklyn, who will be turning 16 in March, seems to be getting tired of it and prefers to just be dropped off by his dad a few blocks or some distance away from the school so that he can walk the rest of the way.
