‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Confirms Return of Stick to Matt Murdock’s Hell Kitchen!

In an interview in July, producer Melissa Rosenberg described Jessica Jones as an incredibly flawed, damaged, and interesting character regardless of gender. She added that “Jessica Jones” is a very different show from “Daredevil” but she said that both exist in the same Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rosenberg added that while the universe of the two superhero characters is connected, but the superheroes look very different.

“Jessica Jones” will become the third Marvel Comics-based TV series following “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Daredevil.”

“Daredevil” is created by Drew Goddard. It is the first in a series of TV shows that will lead up to a “Defenders” crossover mini-series. Marvel Television is producing the show in association with ABC Studios, DeKnight Productions, and Goddard Textiles.

Steven S. DeKnight served as “Daredevil” showrunner during Season 1 while Goddard acted as a consultant. For the second season, Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will take over the role of showrunners from Steven S. DeKnight.

“Daredevil” revolves around the story of Matt Murdock who is a lawyer by day but fights crime at night. Season 1 of the TV series showed the character’s early days with crime fighting, which is being orchestrated by Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio.

The TV series began development in late 2013, one year after the film rights to the character reverted to Marvel. Goddard was initially hired in December 2013 as showrunner, but he was eventually replaced by DeKnight.

  1. Only wish to make one small observation that Jessica Jones isn’t the THIRD Marvel television series to be produced, but the FOURTH, following (ch ronologically in terms of first airing) Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, then Daredevil.
