During the sixth season of the American reality dance competition show “Dance Moms” on the Lifetime channel, dance leader Abby Lee Miller introduced a Mini Team of younger dancers that were supposed to be the pool for the next dance talents in the show.
The Mini Team also took part in several competitions. Some of the members of the Mini Team showed a semblance of promising dance talents but it seems that the producers of “Dance Moms” think otherwise.
Around the second half of “Dance Moms” Season 6, Miller was seen doing her best to prepare the Mini Team to be a success in the hope of finding a gem among them in the mold of Maddie Ziegler.
But the producers unceremoniously kicked out the Mini Team after the Season 6 finale which means that they will no longer be coming back on the upcoming Season 7 of the show.
Abby Lee Miller reportedly got dejected with the decision of the producers on the Mini Team and she recently took to Instagram and Twitter to vent out her anger and frustration about it, reports the Christian Post.
The dance leader said that she was sick over the development because the minis are very talented aside from being respectful, dedicated and hardworking kids.
She said that she had hoped that the fans would have loved the members of the Mini Team the same way they did the bunch of girls she introduced on the show five years ago who are now the big stars of “Dance Moms.”
But all success that Miller may have gotten with the Mini Team in the previous season will all be for nothing as the minis will no longer be in “Dance Moms” Season 7.
The passionate dance leader will also have to go back to the drawing board to find another way of rejuvenating the show that desperately needs to be saved.
Season 7 is good to go
Amid the looming possibility that Abby Lee Miller may face jail time in light of the fraud charges against her, Season 7 of “Dance Moms” is good to go.
The confirmation actually came from Lesley Brander, the manager of Nia Frasier-Sioux, who said recently that Season 7 of the show is absolutely up.
There are also reports coming out saying that the Candy Apples Dance Center of Cathy Nesbitt-Stein is set to return to the show. It is not clear if Cathy’s return has something to do with the show’s preparation on the possibility that Abby Lee Miller may get sentenced to jail or is meant to compete again with the dance leader of ALDC.
The presence of Cathy Nesbitt-Stein and Abby Lee Miller in “Dance Moms” Season 7 would definitely spark tension between the two dance leaders since there was already bad blood between them in the first place, details the Christian Today.
Cathy was an original part of the show as one of the dance moms. She had her daughter Vivi auditioned for Abby Lee Miller’s Mini Elite Team way back but because she was not satisfied with how Miller managed her studio, she put up her own Candy Apples Dance Center.
JoJo Siwa is not going out
There have been rumors saying that after the departure of Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler at the end of Season 6 of “Dance Moms,” JoJo Siwa would follow suit to explore other opportunities outside the hit dance competition reality show on Lifetime.
The speculations further heightened when the 13-year-old young dancer and her mother Jessalynn Siwa were nowhere to be found when production for Season 7 of “Dance Moms” started recently via the Sheer Talent competition in Las Vegas held on September 10.
JoJo was noticeably absent from Abby Lee Miller’s elite junior team and so is her mother who was not with the group photo of the dance moms.
