The “Criminal Minds” team will have to go up to a challenge similar to one they’ve already faced before, according to reports, as they will be dealing with a serial killer related to transport services once again. We just recently saw an episode that focused on a driver who was decapitating his passengers, and the next episode of the show will continue that “trend”, focusing on a relatively similar theme. Of course, we expect the producers of the show to throw in some interesting plot twists, and it most likely won’t be the exact same story as before.
It looks like the criminal in this episode will have a particularly interesting attitude to what they’re doing, as they will be relatively careless with regards to getting caught, committing their crimes at truck stops. Reports have also pointed out the facts that the location chosen for the killings strikes as a bit odd for certain other reasons, such as the fact that the perpetrator would have to go out of their way to do it there, and therefore it must have some particular significance for them.
The crimes will also be spread throughout a larger area, so that’s also another detail to keep in mind – how far will the BAU team have to go to catch them? It looks like the producers of the show have decided to give them a particular type of challenge for the time being, but we’re not sure if this implies that the two episodes could somehow be related. It wouldn’t be surprising for the show to feature some connection between its criminals over two or more episodes, but we don’t have any indication of that so far.
It also sounds like the BAU team will be a bit stuck trying to figure out what the criminal is trying to accomplish exactly, as they will be a bit lost trying to figure out their motive. Whether or not they will guess what the attacker is trying to accomplish before they can take too many lives remains to be seen, and considering how tense the show has gotten over its last few episodes, we wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be a bloodier installment with more bodies left around.
We’re also as curious as the show’s fans if the producers might be planning to continue their current trend and feature even more similar killings in the future, and that’s entirely possible. However, it’s a bit questionable just how much more they can keep using this theme before it gets too boring, as fans of the show like to see some variety in the kinds of criminals that the team is chasing after.
Some fans have actually started to discuss the possible developments that we might see in the next episodes and in the general future of the show. Could the current “transport killings” have any implications on the later installments of the production or is this just a random “theme of the week” sort of thing?
Various fans of the show were particularly shocked of the guillotine episode which featured some quite brutal beheading scenes and a generally creepy vibe. The producers went quite far in their darker themes with this episode, according to many, and they did a great job creeping everyone out. Of course, “Criminal Minds” is not known for its lighthearted themes for the most part, but the show does have its limits that the producers usually observe.
