Chris Evans Bids Goodbye on Twitter to Actor Who Plays Crossbones in Captain America: Civil War!

In the first “Captain America” movie, the Captain’s nemesis was Hydra. In the second installment titled “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” it was his good old friend Bucky who turned to become the winter soldier.

Crossbones played by Frank Grillo, is also a bad guy in the second movie but he was not the main villain of the film. From initial reports about the plot of “Captain America: Civil War,” it was said that Crossbones will be the main villain of the movie.

However, from the latest tweet by Chris Evans directed to Frank Grillo on May 22, the actor who plays Steve Rogers and Captain America , said that Frank will be sorely missed.

Filming for “Captain America: Civil War” just began on May 13. From that time until the date of the post of Chris Evans, that means only 10 days. So if Crossbones is the main villain of the third Captain America movie, he would have lasted more than 10 days during the filming. Thus it is likely that Crossbones is not going to be Captain America’s arch-nemesis in the movie.

It has been reported previously that the other key antagonist to “Captain America: Civil War” is no other than Tony Stark and Iron Man.

The other theory

However, there are also reports that say that the post of Chris Evans on Twitter on May 22 is actually meant to throw off the rumourmongers and the speculators who keep on second-guessing the plotline of “Captain America: Civil War.”

Those who have seen the fight scenes between Captain America and Crossbones during the filming all confirmed that the confrontation did not have the look of a vital third act fight-sequence. It was more of an early fight scene wherein the Avengers are offering aid to the people of Wakanda, which was violently interrupted by Crossbones.

It is being speculated that the fight of Crossbones with the Avengers will actually spark and sets off Civil War, which would also draw the Black Panther into the fray as the villain destroyed a large portion of Wakanda.

Bucking down to work

Less than a year before it officially hits the theaters on May 6, 2016, the third installment to the Captain America movie franchise officially titled “Captain America: Civil War” went underway starting on May 13 as filming for the movie started.

Naturally, Chris Evans, being the lead actor for the movie and the series, was among those who were first on the set to immediately buckle down to work.

Unlike in previous weeks where he was seen in public with a lot of hair on its comely face, Chris Evans came to the “Captain America: Civil War” set in Atlanta, Georgia cleanly shaven and was even wearing a suit as if he was walking into a law firm.

People in the set actually found him to look really neat and elegant.

Chris Evans

The 33-year-old Chris Evans was later on joined on the set by his co-stars Emily VanCamp and Anthony Mackie. Of course there are other cast members on the film but it is assumed that the rest would be coming over to the set as soon as their turns on the filming sequences have been finalized.
