Chris Brown and Rihanna have certainly gone through a lot together, and many were convinced that they would have no more interactions ever since the major fallout they had over Chris Brown’s alleged beating that he unleashed on his fellow singer (and then girlfriend). However, despite the huge personal conflict, many of their fans were sad to see the duo splitting up, as there was no denying that they knew how to collaborate and make good music together.
And while no new material has been produced by the two so far, we did recently get a special treat as a collaboration song between them was leaked to the Internet. The last time the two worked together officially was in 2012, when they released “Nobody’s Business”, after previously working on a remix of “Birthday Cake”.
The new song is titled “Put It Up”, and according to current speculation, it was recorded for the last album of Chris Brown, but was eventually dropped from the main production. Chris Brown himself briefly talked about the track in 2013, when he was giving an interview for MTV. He stated that he wrote the song, intending it to be heavy on the R&B style, as he was getting tired of producing the same-sounding pop music that the two have been working on all the time.
This has also sparked some rumors that Rihanna and Chris Brown could possibly get back to working together in the future, especially if the success of the current track proves strong enough. However, Rihanna has recently been claimed to be dating Drake, which would possibly prevent a collaboration with Chris Brown from happening. Of course, it’s possible that the two might decide to work on purely professional terms, but it’s hard to deny that this would probably cause a lot of romantic conflict in the background, something which nobody probably wants in the current situation.
Chris Brown, in the meantime, has been focused on taking care of his ten-month-old baby girl, and he’s been spending a lot of time with her. According to people close to the singer, he’s actually being a very responsible father, and for what it’s worth, he’s been doing everything in his power to give his girl a proper upbringing.
Some were worried about how he would approach his fatherhood, as he proved to be a less than perfect character when he beat up Rihanna during their relationship, but in the end, as others are quick to point out, people make mistakes and sometimes learn from them, and it’s entirely possible that Chris Brown has realized the extent of his actions and is taking steps to correct his personality.
