‘Captain America: Civil War’ Will Feature Plenty of Marvel Superheroes that It will Come Off Almost as an ‘Avengers’ Movie

As for “Captain America: Civil War,” the Marvel boss said that the film is still in production but only has one week left to wrap it all up. Both Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie, however, took time off from filming in Germany to attend and be part of the D23 Expo event.

Everyone already knows by this time that one of the highlights of the upcoming film is the clash between Captain America and Iron Man over the Superhero Registration Act.

There have been reports in the past few weeks saying that Captain America will be using Thor’s hammer known as the Mjolnir in his fight against Iron Man because Chris Evans was spotted on the set wielding the demigod’s major weapon.

Mjolnir is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe which is why only those who are worthy can lift it. So far, only three individuals in the Marvel cinematic universe are able to brandish the weapon – Thor, his father Odin, and Vision. Captain America did try to lift the Mjolnir in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” but failed.

It is still not clear how the Star Spangled Avenger will be able to lift Thor’s hammer in “Captain America: Civil War” but anything is possible with the Marvel cinematic universe. There are also no indications that Thor will be appearing in “Captain America: Civil War.”

  1. Good roundup but Captain America Civil War is not part of MCU Phase 2; it’s the start of Phase 3.
Phase 2 ended with the release of Ant-man.
