Can’t Wait for Dishonored 2? Get the Original on PlayStation Plus in April

Still no official news on the “Dishonored” front, although some recent rumors are claiming that Bethesda are currently preparing for the announcement of the game, but want to make it a surprise, hence the complete silence on their end. The studio doesn’t even want to confirm whether we’re going to get news about the game during this year.

Gamers who haven’t had a chance to try the original, bit have found themselves drawn to all the hype about “Dishonored 2” lately, are going to get the perfect opportunity to catch up next month, as “Dishonored” will reportedly be one of the next titles to be made available through PlayStation Plus, the premium subscription service for Sony’s console.

It’s worth noting that the first title has aged quite nicely (not that it’s so old in the first place) and is still a remarkable playing experience, both for those who like lots of violent action, as well as fans of stealthy, tactical gameplay. The storyline of “Dishonored” was also remarkably good and entertaining, and it’s a game that can easily keep the player glued to the screen from start to finish.

It would certainly be a smart move for Bethesda to continue that franchise, as it’s one of the more successful new IPs that have appeared on the market in recent years. The first “Dishonored” came out to strong positive reception, and gamers loved the way the game approached the classic stealth gameplay style. Lots of people are excitedly waiting for a new “Dishonored” right now, and as soon as Bethesda make the announcement, it’s going to be all over the news.

Some players have expressed thoughts that the next game should be changed a little bit if it is to survive in today’s market. The stealth genre saw a revival after “Dishonored” came out, and releasing a similar game today will not be a very smart move. On the other hand, with the right changes, it can be an absolute new hit, just like the original was when it came out several years ago.

One of the things that most players seem to want changed is the game’s approach to combat. While “Dishonored” presented itself as a stealth game, it still encouraged combat and violence, which many players felt clashed with the overall presentation. Ideally, the new “Dishonored” should make it clear that the player is encouraged to fight, or on the other hand deter combat more actively. The important part is to reach a state of consistency. It wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing if the franchise becomes more combat-focused – players seem to enjoy that anyway – but it has to present itself in the right kind of light in order to give the player a chance to properly immerse themselves.
