After a three-week hiatus, Season 7 of the American police procedural drama TV series “Blue Bloods” will air its 10th episode on CBS on December 9, which is to be highlighted by more sweet moments between Jamie Reagan, played by Will Estes, and Eddie Janko, played by Vanessa Ray.
The romantic storyline between police officers Jamie and Eddie is one of the reasons why “Blue Bloods” is one of the most watched drama on television today, notes Breathecast.
Reports have it that the pair would take their relationship to the next level in the upcoming episode “Blue Bloods” entitled “Unbearable Loss.”
Fans expect that the upcoming episode will feature more sweet moments between Jamie and Eddie. In fact, some even speculate that the two will be engaged and tie the knot soon.
Based on the synopsis of the 10th episode, the son of the most outspoken critic of NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan, played by Tom Selleck, is killed. The father must put aside his contentious relationship with the Reagan family in order to get justice for his son.
The father of the murdered son is no other than Reverend Darnell Potter, to be played by Ato Essandoh.
The episode will also see Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, and Liza Baez, played by Marissa Ramirez, investigating the death of a prominent New York City socialite with a secret life, notes Mobile & Apps.
In another tough situation
Incidentally, Jamie shall be thrust into a tough situation when she will have to shoot a thug in self-defense and later finds out that the mugger is a son of a fellow policeman.
Also in the same episode, Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan-Boyle, played by Bridget Moynahan, and Sergeant Anthony Renzulli, played by Nicholas Turturro, shall investigate a convicted felon’s cause of death which is inconsistent with the injuries he sustained during a prisoner transport van accident.
There are just too many subplots in “Blue Bloods” to keep viewers glued in the upcoming episode involving the Reagan family.
But most of the fans are actually looking forward to the romance of Jamie and Eddie whom they have long wanted to see from several seasons of “Blue Bloods’ way back.
Paving the way for the blossoming of the romance
It was during the eighth episode of “Blue Bloods” when the show finally gave fans what they wanted for quite some time now.
The show finally made the relationship of Jamie Reagan and Eddie Janko blossom into romance. As they are both officers of the New York Police Department, their relationship for the most part of “Blue Bloods” remained strictly professional.
Over the past seasons, Jamie and Eddie have kept their attraction to each other at bay for some time now. After all, they are good friends and works extremely well as partners.
But as they say, the heart always wants what it wants and that is what exactly happened in the eighth episode of Season 7 of “Blue Bloods.”
Critics believe that Eddie was superb in the episode. She was right to say no to let Tara stay with her because letting a virtual stranger into her home can be dangerous no matter how good the intentions are and there was no predicting when or if Tara would indeed leave on her own.
Every time Eddie called Jamie awesome, she is actually hitting just the right notes of amusement, sarcasm, and jealousy.
And to her credit, she admitted to the jealousy and its underlying cause. Being honest about how she felt took a huge amount of courage.
No matter whether they act on them or not, knowing that they have these feelings for one another probably means they shouldn’t be partners, so it was going to get weird and difficult no matter what they choose.
The episode also saw Police Commissioner Frank Reagan dealing with the case of Sgt. James Reed, who risked his child’s life while on duty.
While it is true that every NYPD officer takes an oath to protect and serve even while off duty, but Sgt. Reed took the extra mile when he announced during a situation, while with his 10-year-old daughter that he was a police officer responding to a crime.
