Emma Watson was the one to inform that Beauty and the Beast 2017 would be a reality. The UN Ambassador took to her Facebook page to tell her fans that she would be a part of the upcoming live-action Disney film.

Luke Evans from The Girl on the Train and Fast & Furious will play the role of Gaston, the village villain. Kevin Kline is roped in to play the role of Belle’s father, Maurice. According to OK, Emma Thompson will lend her voice to Mrs. Potts while Ewan McGregor will give his voice to Lumière. Ian McKellen will be Cogsworth.

Mencken shared that the upcoming film won’t include tracks from the theatrical rendition of the story. Mencken had in fact written three new songs for Beauty and the Beast 2017, which Emma Stone and Dan Steven will have to master for the film.
Two of the songs are Days in the Sun and Forever More. The third song is a mystery that the fans will hear when they watch the film.
Disney created a lot of anticipation for the movie with their 90-second teaser. The trailer opens with a glimpse of Emma Watson as Belle. The viewers, however, aren’t able to sneak a peek at her costume. The little that the viewers see of Emma Watson, she looks beautiful in it.
The trailer opens with the iconic title track, which was used in the 1991 film as well. The trailer shows the forlorn and isolated castle of Beast during a storm. The teaser didn’t reveal the Beast, just made the viewers hear a roar in the background.
Since Beauty and the Beast 2017 is set in modern times, and Disney has done some changes in Belle’s background story.
The original story depicts Belle as a girl who is not happy with the life that she has in the small village. She wants to do something different and feels frustrated with the fact that every day is like the day before.
