Tonje went on to say that Grande may or may not have a good point about the food industry or the quality of the food that people are eating nowadays, but she disagrees that it’s just overweight people who have a problem with the food they’re eating.
According to her, it’s a problem for everyone, and Grande has been doing society a disservice by trying to portray it as something exclusive for overweight people. Some have pointed out that her claims seem a bit exaggerated and not entirely plausible, but it’s hard to tell right now in the middle of this controversy.
Is it truly a problem that we live in a culture which glorifies food, or is this more about basic decency in the way we act in public? This has been one of the main points of the argument so far, and both sides seem quite intent on defending their points.
For what it’s worth, Grande seems mostly concerned with her nomination for the VMAs right now and isn’t that bothered by that controversial side of her fame. When – or if – she decides to respond to those claims, it might be an interesting development, but until then, her fans should probably focus on the star’s career development just as she has been doing, and ignore the rest.
