Are Apple Back to Their Innovative Style with the iPhone 7? Various New Features Rumored!

As the fall season approaches, rumors about the Apple iPhone 7 are getting stronger and stronger. It’s not clear when Apple are going to announce the device, or if they even plan to have it out on the market this year at all – but according to many of the rumors that have been going around lately, the company is planning to seriously innovate with the new phone. If even half of those rumors are true, we could see something very interesting with the release of the iPhone 7.

It’s been claimed that the new phone will feature the Apple SIM technology, similar to the iPad Air 2, allowing users to just choose a carrier as soon as they launch the device for the first time, instead of being limited by the traditional style of selecting SIM cards. It’ll be curious to see if this really does happen, as Apple have been facing some strong resistance from all sides on the carrier market, as pretty much nobody seems to be happy with what they’re trying to do. Which, from the point of view of carriers, could be completely understandable.

The iPhone 7 could also feature some extra innovations in its design and functionality, such as Apple’s recently developed Force Touch technology, which allows a touchscreen device to recognize different types of touches, according to the strength of the tap. This can be used in different places in the operating system’s interface, differentiating between a light tap and a strong, longer one, in order to trigger different actions in the interface. The same feature is present in the Apple Watch.

Waterproofing is yet another rumored feature that has been claimed to be coming to the iPhone 7, and it could also play into Apple’s decision to use an Apple SIM with the phone, as it would simplify its design with regards to water resistance. There have also been other rumors related to the phone’s durability, such as extra damage protection and a tougher screen, but those have only been mentioned a handful of times, compared to the waterproofing one which seems to be more prominent lately.

Apple iPhone 7

Last but not least, we’ve also seen talks about improved image stabilization capabilities in the new iPhone 7. The iPhone 6 already had a pretty good camera and was commended for the quality of its pictures, so if the iPhone 7 continues that trend, it could be a very serious competitor to popular camera phones in the smartphone market. It remains to be seen what Apple can do in their imaging department, but we know that their engineers are quite experienced already, so we can only expect great things.
