The Apple Watch itself was a strange device, as some people reportedly expected a lot more from this release by Apple and it wasn’t clear if the device was going to last very long on the market after its initial release.
It seems to be holding up rather well at the moment for what it’s worth, although it definitely didn’t seem to make the heavy impact that Apple were hoping for, and its inherent issues meant that it was quickly disregarded by some tech fans.
Of course, Apple’s own fans were very happy with the watch and it has been enjoying a lot of popularity in these crowds, but it looked like Apple were trying to break out of that area and were hoping to target more people with the release of the Watch.
Maybe they’ll get it right in the future, or maybe the Watch is a doomed idea that they are going to eventually abandon. But at this point, wearable devices are becoming more and more prominent and it’s an important market for any company to get its foot in. This doesn’t just apply to Apple but to most other major companies in the industry, and Apple are most probably keeping a very close eye on the way the market has been moving.
