It’s just the first iteration of the device, in the end, and we expect to see more improvements later on as Apple continue to search for the sweet spot in their formula. There are various things that they can do to make the Watch work better – and feel/look better too – so hopefully we’re going to see those improvements soon enough.
Meanwhile, other companies have started to really improve their own offerings on the market for wearable devices, and it looks like this will be a hot new area for competition in the future if the current trend continues.
Even companies that weren’t traditionally active in this field – like Microsoft – have started to come out with their own attractive offers, and Apple might really have to try harder if they want to provide something unique to their fans.
In the end though, the Watch is still a polarizing device, as some people claim that it’s great for the price that Apple are asking for it, while others are not so impressed and claim that they’ve been left wanting more. We won’t know the full truth until the update has been out for a while and people have had a chance to check it out for themselves, so it’s probably best to reserve any opinions right now.
