Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation Would be a Fully-Loaded Entertainment Device!

Apple promises that its upcoming iPod Touch 6th Generation would not only be its latest compact media player, it will also be a fully-loaded entertainment device, when it is officially unveiled this coming March 2015.

While the American tech giant has not made any pronouncement regarding the official launching of the iPod Touch 6th Generation, latest rumors are suggesting that Apple may unveil the product at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 event, reports Christian Today.

MWC 2015 is slated on March 2 to 5, 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.

The rumors that the iPod Touch 6th Generation will be launched along with the Apple Watch and a new mobile operating system, possibly the latest update on iOS 8 or the bigger iOS 9, remain consistent thus far.

Perfecting the music device

Crossmap detailed that Apple had the opportunity to launch the iPod Touch 6th Generation last year but the company did not do so because apparently, it wants to perfect the music device and ensure that it would come out as the best from all its predecessors.

The last time Apple launched a compact media player, the iPod Touch 5th Generation, was on September 12, 2012. The company cannot simply afford to launch a device with only minor improvements from a more than two-year-old predecessor.

In typical Apple fashion, the company always comes up big with its new products. It was very evident with the launching of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September 2014, which became so successful, the company actually had a difficult time initially catching up with global demands.

Music lovers or music gadget enthusiasts would be happy to know that the Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation would live up to its billing of a complete entertainment system.

Just like the latest iPhones, the compact media player will come in two sizes – the 5.5 inch screen which has become a fad today among gadget lovers, and the 4.7-inch screen, which still draws attention especially for those who prefer old-school small sizes.

Features and price

The colors of the Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation would likely to remain the same with its predecessor so it should come in space grey, yellow, blue, red, pink, and silver. But there’s no stopping Apple from adding more hues to the collection if it deems appropriate like gold or white perhaps.

In terms of price, the 16GB Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation might be pegged at $250 while the 64GB variant could be retailed at $300. The rumored 128GB version should have a much higher price naturally.

But the price of the Apple music device is still very much cheaper compared to the Sony Walkman incarnate called the ZX2 which was unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 event at Las Vegas on January 6 to 9, and accordingly will be retailed for $1,200.
