Ant-Man Video Released Possibly Showing Falcon Cameo? Let’s See

We’ve recently seen a brand new TV clip for “Ant-Man”, the upcoming film by Marvel that’s still in production – and it’s not just your average teaser, as it actually seemed to hint at a very interesting cameo in the new film. In the clip, we saw Anthony Mackie in his full costume as the Falcon, so it looks like the superhero will be making an appearance in “Ant-Man”.

The video was originally tweeted by Marvel but was taken down shortly after, and it showed Mackie appearing as Falcon, allying with Scott Lang – the Ant-Man – to help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym to protect the secret behind his suit. It looks like the plot of the film is getting more and more interesting, and even though fans already knew that they should expect something exciting from “Ant-Man”, they now have even more good reasons to want to see it.

Other than the brief cameo, we didn’t see anything else interesting in the video. It looked more or less the same as previous teasers that we’ve already seen in terms of the footage that it showed, so fans who’ve been staying up to date with the latest trailers and teasers shouldn’t find it overly exciting.

We don’t know anything about the possible relationship between the Ant-Man and the Avengers, and there hasn’t been any footage so far which showed anything from the Avengers themselves. Of course, there is still some time left until the film’s release, so just because we haven’t seen such footage so far doesn’t mean it’s not planned as a plot element for the film.

And while we’re waiting for “Ant-Man” to be released, some journalists have been digging back in time and looking at the story behind some of the characters surrounding him and his part of the Marvel Universe. The Wasp will be making an appearance in the film, although we don’t know exactly how.

It’s likely that she’ll be portrayed in a flashback scene of some sort. Evangeline Lilly will be playing Hope van Dyne, who’s the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne, and it’s been rumored quite a lot that she will be the one to become the Wasp. This might not necessarily happen during this film, however.

There has indeed been some speculation that this kind of development might occur at a later stage, in a film that’s yet to be announced. Nothing is out of the question, and it would definitely be exciting to see Evangeline Lilly as the character.

Janet van Dyne made her first appearance in the comics in 1963, in “Tales to Astonish” issue #44. She was portrayed as a wealthy socialite, and her father was a scientist who once summoned an alien in his laboratory by accident, and it ended up killing him. Janet was actually the one to warn him about the danger that the creature poses, and she didn’t want to see Ant-Man avenging her father without playing a role herself.

She was given the ability to shrink her body to the size of an insect, and grow wings on her back. Once they had defeated the alien creature together, Janet decided to stay by Hank’s side as his partner, The Wasp. They then went on to fight crime together and ended up developing a romantic relationship together. We don’t know if that will be touched in detail in the film – or even if the story will be the same all the way – but the writers for “Ant-Man” certainly have a lot to work with.
