More than a year and a half as a couple, the relationship of telenovela stars Angelique Boyer and Sebastian Rulli appears to be getting stronger.
With reports that both of them are going to star in the remake of “Lazos De Amor” by Angelli Nesma, Angelique Boyer and Sebastian Rulli are expected to take their real-life romance to the small screen once again when the telenovela debuts in Mexican television next year.
In a recent interview with Televisa producer Jose Alberto Castro, he disclosed that the relationship of Angelique and Sebastian meant two things for him. He and Angelique used to be a couple for three years until they agreed to break up in March 2014.
Castro says that he has no hard feelings toward the “Lo Que La Vida Me Robo” actress because he believes that the most beautiful thing in life is when a person wakes up everyday without owing anything to anybody as it meant inner peace, details the Latin Times.
He was the one who actually made Angelique Boyer a star when he produced the telenovela “Teresa.” Ironically, it was also in the same TV series that Angelique first came in close contact with Sebastian Rulli.
Feeling betrayed
So when Jose Alberto learned later that Sebastian started dating Angelique, he really felt bad and has severed his friendship with the 40-year-old actor. While he and Angelique were no longer a couple when Sebastian came into the picture, Castro still feels betrayed.
But Jose Alberto does not bash Angelique in interviews or in any statement at all, even saying that he would really consider working with her again in the future if given the chance. He strongly believes that Angelique is a person that has a lot of potentials to make a great career. He adds that his former lover has the chops and a great interpretative range in acting.
As for Sebastian, he believes that the actor is not in the same level, acting and work ethic wise, with Angelique, short of saying that they are not a match.
When then 25-year-old Angelique and 53-year-old Jose Alberto split in March last year, they released a joint statement which they posted on Twitter.
The statement said that amid a marvelous relationship full of love, they have come to a decision to end it. Accordingly, they both needed to confront responsibilities that did not allow them to maintain their relationship.
Capitalizing on the pair’s popularity
Meanwhile, it seems like the producers of the upcoming telenovela “Lazos De Amor” wanted to capitalize on the popularity of Angelique and Sebastian so instead of coming up with a new and novel story, they just decided to do a remake of a classic Mexican telenovela.
Angelique Boyer is one of the most beloved and popular telenovela stars. She has appeared in a string of top-rating telenovelas including “Teresa,” “Abismo de Pasion,” and just recently, “Lo Que La Vida Me Robo.”
Fans of Angelique have been clamoring in social media for her return to the small screen and it seems that their wish will come true next year. And she will not just be seen once, but three times as apparently Angelique will take on the role of triplets that were separated at birth in the telenovela, notes the Latin Times in another report.
They also believe that the actress has the capability to take on the challenging role as she has proven in the past that she can take on various characters – from being a good person to being a big bad – all with great ease.
