Coming up on March 8th, fans are finally going to see the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 start back up. When the show returns, there might be a little surprise in store for the fans located all over the world. If you have been watching, then you know a little about “Slingshot”. You do not know everything that you want to know and that is where the second half of the season will start.
The female “Flash” is played by Natalia Cordova-Buckley and she has been referred to in this way because she has similar superpowers to the ultra fast Flash. “Slingshot” is her stage name and she has been recruited to be a part of the Secret Warriors. Starting last month, Cordova-Buckely was shooting scenes for her part in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3. Fans of the show are going to learn a lot more about Slingshot and even though she shares similarities with Flash, there is one, main difference.
The Flash can move at the speed of light all the while controlling what he himself and saving citizens all over the city. Slingshot can do exactly that, however, she can return right back to where she took off. In the show, her real name is Yo Yo Rodriguez and she is the daughter of Marvel’s John Horton. In the first half of the third season, fans got to see Daisy getting sidetracked with all of the recruiting and SHIELD was being attacked by Ward and Hydra.
The recruiting brought Yo Yo to the team and the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 is going to focus on her, where she came from and how she is going to help the Secret Warriors team. The first episode on when the show comes back is called “Bouncing Back” and a few online sources have already posted a sneak peak for fans. The summary of the next episode suggests that Coulson is going to be doing whatever he can to put an end to Hydra and get to Gideon Malick.
Daisy and the Secret Warriors are going to run into more inhumans and that will bring light to some powers that none of them have ever seen. Just like some of the other superhero shows on television, there are many ways the show can go so each week is going to be a fun puzzle to see which characters might be revealed in upcoming seasons. Being the daughter of John Horton provided her with the hacked DNA which gives her the speed and the ability to return to the point of take off, which is a requirement to the powers. That aspect of her power should play a specific role in the upcoming season.
