Adam Lambert Launches New Single, ‘Welcome to the Show,’ on the ‘American Idol’ Stage

Another highlight of the episode was courtesy of finalist La’Porsha Renae who brought the house down with her rendition of Mary J. Blidge’s “No More Drama.”

After her all-out performance, the single mom contestant couldn’t help but cry causing the judges to get emotional as she was. Lopez even praised the singer for being an inspiration and for giving fans another “Idol” moment.

The latest episode of “American Idol” proved to be a turning moment for the top 6 as they really had to give it all they’ve got because they each had to do a song in which America voted through Twitter.

The first round saw Harmon singing One Republic’s “Counting Stars,” Dalton Rappatoni belting out “Numb” by Linkin Park, Renae singing “Ready for Love” by India Arie.

Mackenzie Bourg also did a rendition of “Wild World” by Cat Stevens, Tristan McIntosh singing “Independence” by Martina McBride, and Sonika Vaid singing Demi Lovato’s “Let it Go.”

It was during the second round where Harmon and Renae’s performances were singled out by the judges and the audience.

Rapatonni sang “Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel while Bourg gave a great rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.” Sonika sang Zedd’s “Clarity.” McIntosh was eliminated, thus, the audience got to know the competition’s top 5 contestants.
