The latest models in the Galaxy Tab series seem to be in development. According to speculations, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 and the successor to Galaxy Tab 3 Lite could be in the making right now. Therefore, Samsung is not only working on their latest line of smartphones, pegged to release this year, but also concentrating on a brand new range of Tablets as well.

We could soon notice a 10 inch Galaxy Tab becoming the successor of the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. Compared to its size, the tablet is being predicted to be a budget offering. The possible successor of the 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and the 7-inch successor of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite are rumored to be releasing soon. Both of these devices with model numbers, SM-T555 and SM-T116 were spotted recently on Zauba, the import/export site.

Keeping in mind the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 could release by early summer of late spring this year. A report issued from The Netherlands indicates that Samsung shipped the Galaxy Tab 5 prototype along with the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 5 to India for the purposes of testing. Reports indicate that the bigger tablet will cost around $350 while the smaller one will be priced at $100, which is dirt cheap.

The bigger Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 will have a 10.1inch display, SM-T555 model number and will run on the latest Android version v5.0 Lollipop. The device is said to run on a Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 64-bit architecture.

The smaller SM-T116 version will feature a quad core, 1.2 GHz ‘Spreadtrum SC8830’ processor, run on 1GB of RAM and come with Android v4.4.4 out-of-the-box. We are not yet aware if these two slates will be launched only in some chosen regions. However, with an affordable price-tag, they will sure be popular in the whole world, among emerging markets.

Meanwhile, the Zauba listing indicates that the imported Samsung Galaxy Tab 5 will only be used for Research and Development. Furthermore, 30 additional units of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite successor has also been sent for the same purpose with a nearby launch date. Keep in mind that the price listed in Zauba could be different from the final market pricing.
