Halo Master Chief Collection Creates Stir Apology Issued To Players!

The Halo video game series has been one of the most successful in history and the story is not about to end anytime soon. Microsoft has seen a lot from the Halo series on the Xbox, but with the most recent release, the company found themselves in a tough spot with gamers all over the country. Now that Microsoft released the Xbox One this year the Halo Master Chief Collection has been remastered just for the console and it brought along some very big problems.

The release of this version of the game was anticipated by many gamers and almost as soon as it was released, players all over the world started to notice issues with the game. Game performance was hindered by a range of glitches and that did not make anyone happy. Microsoft was put into a tough spot with 343 Studios and in order to make the fans happy, they had to do something special. An apology was the first thing that had to happen and that came shortly after the Halo Master Chief Collection was released. It was received very well by players.

On top of the apology, the two companies got together and offered players a couple of things for free. The companies made a statement that the free stuff is just to say thanks for the support while the two companies work through issues that came up. If you bought the game between the 11th of November and the 19th of December you are eligible for the free stuff. If you purchased the game recently or before the 11th of last month, you are not in the free stuff group.

The free stuff includes a free month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game nameplate and avatar and that is it, for now. There will be more to follow once the spring season starts next year. A new 1080p version of the Halo 3: ODST campaign, plus a re-imagined version of the Relic multiplayer map for Halo 2: Anniversary. The apology would have been good enough for some players, but freebies are always a nice touch.

Halo Master Chief Collection

The Halo Master Chief Collection was expected to be to bring some of the best Halo games from the last few years and has campaigns from Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4 and Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary edition. That is a lot of games to bring into one for the Xbox One, but is expected to be all fixed up in no time as the issues with the game were not that severe. If you get the Halo compilation, you will also get access to Halo 5: Guardians, which is currently in beta.
